It's a fact of life. If you are not overtly or covertly Zionist, you don't get work in Hollywood. Indeed, if you're not Jewish, the cards are stacked against you. Jews founded most of the big studios anyway, and have controlled almost all of them from day one.

Movies can be made much cheaper in twenty-five competing countries (with Morocco in particular trying to corner the market on desert shoots), but since Israel’s latest rape of Lebanon (summer 2006) the Hollywood crowd has circled the wagons.

Today, one studio is scouting Israeli locations for a series of seven TV movies. Several more studios are planning the same. In the near future, Americans will see many movies filmed in Israel.

Most movies filmed in Israel have been Israeli, but there have also been mid-level American-made movies, such as “The Omen” (1976) or “Iron Eagle” I & II (1986, 1988). Occasionally a bigger budget American movie is filmed in Israel, such as “Batman Forever (1995).

From now on, however, we can expect to see more American movies filmed there.

Most films are garbage anyway, I find no film entertaining, the last film I enjoyed was Lord of the Rings 2 or 3 Cant remember, but even that started to get on my nerves because it started to drag (too long). If you must watch one download it using Bit Torrent or Emule to get you a 'free' copy. I enjoyed enemy of the state too, but it was far fetched, in real life the state would have got him and there would be no story, just another death.

I've been a huge fan of this site for over a year now. In this case though I think you are being overzealous and unfairly critical.

Just because he wants to visit a particular site does not mean he supports the government of that region. I currently detest nearly every single government in the world today, but I still would like to visit many different areas of the world.

I don't think that I'm over-reacting, however.

Jim Carrey is no lightweight.

Notwithstanding the array of slapstick comedies he's starred in, he has also starred in a couple of very serious films.

Specifically, I am thinking of The Truman Show, a film that makes it very clear that Jim Carrey KNOWS what's going on.

He knows better than to make those ridiculously shallow, flippant remarks about a region that is currently aflame with political violence - where innocent women and children are being slaughtered by the dozen weekly, all thanks to the fanaticism displayed by the self-appointed guardians of those 'wonderful holy sites' Carrey refers to without so much as acknowledging the scores of innocents that die under israeli oppression.

This isn't a movie set for Carrey to be playing DUMB and DUMBER. This is real life - and his 'act' is both disappointing and offensive, to say the least.

I should try and post more here. It is very frusterating and it can get quite lonely trying to spread the truth among those who don't care or are "brainwashed" (which is what I do so often). It's a refreshing change to speak with intelligent people who know what the hell is going on.

I concede to your point that Carrey does know what is going on. And thinking about it, if I were visiting a place, I would remark on the local government cruelities.

But that is me. Most people choose to remain ignorant and/or are just too scared to challenge the way things are, or worried to upset people, or to risk damaging their precious career.

"Boycotting" people like that or yelling at them only makes them go further into their shell. Explaining things nicely to them doesn't seem to do much good either, but at least they'll listen next time you talk with them and maybe one day they'll want to do something about the truth.
