I doubt it. You people are far too paranoid. The CIA doesn't give a sh*t about anything that doesn't seriously thereaten their own power-structure. WUFYS and blogs like it can hardly qualify. The government peruses anything that's anti-Zionist, as my own web stats on my site indicate (it'll say "US Government" under stat info). That is to be expected, but a takeover? Not likely. They would more likely send bloggers around the Net to subvert blogs and change the direction of their thoughts. Anyone who seems a tad overkill or dictatorial ought to be suspect. No one should feel coerced or attacked into believing a certain line of thought. That's a red flag to be sure.

Masher1 has been ranting about covert agents - NSA, CIA etc - on his tail (and addressing them directly in his posts) for as long as I can remember. He believes they followed him here, thus, it's not WUFYS that interests the NSA but rather Masher1 and the security threat that he poses to nefarious plans of the New World Order. I do hope he doesn't display the same paranoid tendencies offline in his day-to-day life, because that'd be a worry.

I've asked Masher before what evidence he has to support his outrageous claim, and never received a response. I'm still waiting for him to shed some light on the matter.

What the hell would you know what is going on 'under the surface'?  You would need to be an admin to do that. As an admin, I know what is going on 'under the surface', and most if not all of the glitches that would cause paranoid types to start screaming "CIA" are down to failures in technology and in particular the database underlying the site, a database known for speed but not for robustness.

Failures in technology hit every other site based on the same technologies (and most are), whether the site is about political activisim or flower arranging.
