YouTube sent me a copyright notice by email that indicate AP (Associated Press) video of Bush babbling about Israel standing for peace may be a copyright violation, even after the fact I posted a warning at the beginning of the video.

Dear YouTube Member:

Associated Press (AP) has claimed some or all visual content in your video Happy 60th Anniversary Birthday, ISRAEL!. This claim was made as part of the YouTube Content Identification program.

Your video is still live because Associated Press (AP) has authorized the use of this content on YouTube. As long as Associated Press (AP) has a claim on your video, they will receive public statistics about your video, such as number of views. Viewers may also see advertising on your video's page.

Claim Details:

Copyright owner: Associated Press (AP)
Content claimed: Some or all of the visual content
Policy: Allow this content to remain on YouTube.

Associated Press (AP) claimed this content as a part of the YouTube Content Identification program. YouTube allows partners to review YouTube videos for content to which they own the rights. Partners may use our automated video / audio matching system to identify their content, or they may manually review videos.

If you believe that this claim was made in error, or that you are otherwise authorized to use the content at issue, you can dispute this claim with Associated Press (AP) and view other options in the Video ID Matches section of your YouTube account. Please note that YouTube does not mediate copyright disputes between YouTube owners. Learn more about video identification disputes.

Sincerely,
The YouTube Content Identification Team

I responded with a dispute with a sworn statement the footage falls under fair use provision.

It's apparent the video is now "censored" with no  visible still picture in embedded and it's invisible in YT search engine, making the video obscure and out of reach.

What happens when Video ID identifies a match?

If Video ID identifies a match between a user upload and material in the reference library, it applies the usage policy designated by the content owner. The usage policy tells the system what to do with the video. Matches can be to only the audio portion of an upload, the video portion only, or both.

What kinds of usage policies are there?

There are three usage policies -- Block, Track or Monetize. If a rights owner specifies a Block policy, the video will not be viewable on YouTube. If the rights owner specifies a Track policy, the video will continue to be made available on YouTube and the rights owner will receive information about the video, such as how many views it receives. For a Monetize policy, the video will continue to be available on YouTube and ads will appear in conjunction with the video. The policies can be region-specific, so a content owner can allow a particular piece of material in one country and block the material in another.

I await YouTube admin's decision to let the video become visible in YT search. If it's purged, I will re-upload with the AP footage deleted. I'm figuring out how to defeat the lame Video ID by circumventing or ripping footage to extract audio (dunno how). GR, mebbe you lend a help to get around the tight-ass AP?

Thanks, shitty YouTube Video ID system!

Those are the video from above, with a couple conversions.

Grim Reaper | Sat, 2008-05-17 12:24

...but I am not positively sure if these conversions have eliminated YouTube Video ID coding embedded in the digitalized copyrighted video.

Anyway, YouTibe admin finally allowed the video to be searchable with visible still frame after I sent a dispute response and two emails explaining Fair Use statute.

I save the conversiosn to burn to CD-R in case YouTube nuke my account due to Z-Joo whiners.

Your assistance in contribution is very much appreciated despite it taking a small portion of your time.

Youtube gets alot of coverage, but they limit alot of things on purpose, to limit YOU, so that they control the TUBE.

Google videos show up on their search engine, as do the ones from several other sites including YT; by searching you can discover which ones they are, and make multiple accounts!!=]

Did you see This video?..a perfect irthday present for zoos..

Grim Reaper | Sat, 2008-05-17 20:19

I submitted the media "Happy Birthday, Israel" only to find out one of the assigned moderators rejected media for exhibition on LiveLeak.

I filed an appeal requesting investigation and accused the moderator (LL_Callisto, proof here) of bias towards mild or severe criticism of Israel in policy.

Even Zionists run over LiveLeak like Wikipedia. They don't hide their bias well.

Nepos Libertas | Sat, 2008-05-17 21:34

They rejected the Black Slaves video too, try Motionbox or Google. Notice all the anti-USA propaganda on LL, often fresh damning stuff, yet mention the ZOO and you can forget it.
