Kitty Hawk air wing commander removed for ‘loss of confidence’

TOKYO — The U.S. Navy air wing commander for the USS Kitty Hawk’s strike group was relieved of duty Friday after an admiral said he lost confidence in the commander’s ability, according to a Navy spokeswoman.

Capt. Michael P. McNellis was relieved as commander of Carrier Air Wing 5 by Rear Adm. Richard B. Wren, commander of Commander Task Force 70, the Navy said in a news release.

The admiral’s mast, a nonjudicial punishment proceeding below the level of court-martial, was held Friday at sea aboard the Kitty Hawk, according to Cmdr. Jensin W. Sommer, CTF-70 strike group spokeswoman.

Sommer declined Friday evening to give any details about the circumstances leading to McNellis’ nonjudicial proceeding.

Sommer described Wren’s findings as a removal from command “due to a loss of confidence, not a punishment.”

McNellis left the Kitty Hawk on Friday, Sommer said. McNellis, who graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1982 and trained as an EA-6B Prowler pilot, was preparing for retirement, she said.

Capt. Michael S. White, the former air wing deputy commander, assumed command, Sommer said.

McNellis took command of Carrier Air Wing 5 in September 2006 from Capt. Garry Mace, who commended McNellis at the time for his experience.

“Since I started working with [McNellis], he’s always been a moral compass for me, keeping me pointed in the right direction,” Mace said in 2006. “I’m sure as a leader, he’ll do great things for this air wing.”

The air wing is based at Naval Air Facility Atsugi and includes seven aircraft squadrons and two smaller aircraft detachments, consisting of about 70 aircraft and 2,000 people. It is part of the Kitty Hawk’s strike group, the largest in the Navy.

The USS Kitty Hawk Carrier Strike Group is conducting training and operations in the Philippine Sea, Sommer wrote in the news release.

Maine in Havana Harbor, Cuba in 1898 catapulted the beginning of the Spanish-American War with the U.S. invading Spanish territories (like the Philippines, which led to the infamous genocidal atrocity against Filipino rebels craving independence by murderous American imperialist troops) to grab and keep the conquered territories in the Atlantic and Pacific.

Is it any surprise every time there is a major attack on the U.S. interests it turn out to be faked or deliberately provoked the enemy to attack to blame on to spread deceit by irrational emotional disturbance and blind patriotism in nationalistic fervor to maximize propaganda that crush questioning dissent as seditious?

And let's not forget Operation Northwoods, the depraved plan developed by the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon, that call for the attack on the commercial airplane populated with American crew and passengers by provoked Cuban jet fighters defending air space (or American disguised as Cuban) to precipitate the invasion of post-revolution Cuba to overthrow the fledging Leninist-Marxist socialist government run by Comrade Fidel after the failed CIA-coordinated invasion at Bay of Pigs. President Kennedy ultimately rejected the plan as, I believe his sentiment would be in reaction, morally obscene.

And there's the Gulf of Tonkin 'incident' between August 2 and 4, 1964, soon after the assassination of JFK who was to order gradual troop withdrawl from Vietnam which hawkish Pentagon and elitist gestapo mob CIA opposed. U.S. diplomats deceived Saddam Hussein, which the U.S. used as an allied useful idiot to declare war on post-revolution Iran and invade that nation only to kick Iraqi ass over the long 8 years (1980-88), with proclaimed neutrality towards the dispute between Kuwait and Iraq over the right to oil underneath the Kuwait-Iraq border which Saddam assumed he received a greenlight to invade Kuwait on August 2, 1990.

U.S. needs a war "once in a while" -- every generation -- to flex its superior military technology and tactical strategy. Saddam-ruled Iraq fell into a trap set by the U.S. to blame as a great enemy of liberty and international justice. Stand-up comedian George Carlin hit the nail on the head by dissecting the analogy on the glory of macho American warfare in relation to male sexual organ.

That the U.S., grotesquely entangled with Israel, scheme to scapegoat Iran/Syria with a false flag attack should not be surprising. After all, it is U.S.'s prime motive to continue provoking the hostile nations on the other side of the world to engage in mass-scale battles that would humble Napoleon Bonaparte's ego.

This is an obscene contradiction to the Founding Fathers' dire warnings against engaging in hostilities that not only harm U.S. 's natural self-interests but will destroy the republic as tyranny takes a foothold in the bureaucratic government run by the black-hearted, power-drunk plutocratic cowards who feel they need to exert their Freudian masculinity by ordering even more wars to alleviate empty peace and improve war profiteering and successive military conquests to inflate narcissistic pathology in unrestrained egotism.

In conclusion, fuck America and Israel. The former as the culprit of explosive global anti-Americanism because of belligerent foreign policy that consider peace -- if the word have a meaning -- odious when it do not suit selfishly aggravating interests and rampant corporatism hostile to reason & social justice and the latter warmongering and propagation of "anti-Semite" sentiment and attitude. And they ask the absurdly pertinent question: why do they hate us?

The truth is, strife and animosity is their goal to control the world to exploit resources and expand power of hegemony. And that is the definition of selfishness at its most base. This is the exact reason why empires rose rapidly only to crash in the sudden thud of a fall. Empires never last forever, and indulging in empirism by unrestrained imperialism is surely the omen of future expiration in chaos and premature death once all sources are exhausted, be it monetary and grevious abuse of power in the tramping of the U.S. Constitution as a holy "living" document.
