A public bow from the US to Hezbollah and the Lebanese opposition

The US Chargé d’Affaires in Lebanon, Ambassador Michele J. Sison has certainly changed her tune during those past 10 days.  We are not seeing her grumpy face or hearing her usual criticism regarding the Lebanese resistance and opposition.  Quite the contrary, ambassador Sison seems to have developed a sudden affection for the Lebanese opposition and is making a definite effort at socializing with it and at being cheerful and charming,  What a change from the days - not too far ago- when ambassador Sison and the notorious ambassador Feltman were only chummy and charming with their agents Jumblaat and Gaegae,  the March 14th Forces and the Siniora government!

As I watched the news yesterday, I couldn't help but laugh. I particularly enjoyed ambassador Sison's special effort at being cheerful while repeating and stressing during her various stops the following U official statement:

“the US welcomes the agreement reached by the Lebanese leaders in Doha"!

My my my!!   Aren't those leaders the very leaders that the US considered a terrible "threat to Lebanon's 'young' democracy"??  Aren't those leaders all "terrorists" as far as the US was concerned?? Aren’t they all allied to some kind of “Evil Axis”??  Hasn't the US placed those leaders on a list of people forbidden to travel to the US??  Hasn't the US also frozen their bank accounts??

Now the US has suddenly discovered that those leaders might after all not be "terrorists" and that it might be preferable for the US to ally with them rather than find itself entirely cast out of the Lebanese political arena.

The US really has no shame.

It was only a few weeks ago that the notorious US ambassador to Lebanon (Feltman) was complaining as always about his "disgust at the ongoing shameless attacks on Lebanon's democratic institutions by those seeking to restore decision-making to Damascus and its allies” and it is barely 10 days ago that Bush informed the world that ” The Lebanese people have sacrificed much for the sake of their freedom, and the United States will continue to stand with them against this latest assault on their independence and security”

Now the US wants to befriend those it’s been threatening and condemning for years  - not to mention the 2006 war -  because it realizes that without them, the real representatives of Lebanon, the real protectors of its sovereignty and independence from the likes of a  “Jeffrey Feltman governments”, the US really has no 'friends' in Lebanon.

The US has lost Iran.  It lost Iraq.  It lost Gaza.  It is losing Lebanon…  Who is next in line?

The US is adamant on losing all its Arab allies for the sake of Israel and many of us Arabs have reached the point where we feel that the US must now chose between either us or its dear apartheid 'island of democracy', Israel.

Statement by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice: United States Welcomes the Doha Agreement on Lebanon

May 21, 2008

The United States welcomes the agreement reached by Lebanese leaders in Doha, Qatar. We view this agreement as a positive step towards resolving the current crisis by electing a President, forming a new government, and addressing Lebanon’s electoral law, consistent with the Arab League initiative. The United States supports the government of Lebanon and its complete authority over the entire territory of the country.

The United States commends the efforts of the Arab League’s committee of Foreign Ministers, in particular the leadership of the Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr Al-Thani, and Secretary General Amr Moussa.

We call upon all Lebanese leaders to implement this agreement in its entirety, in accordance with the Arab League initiative and in conformity with UN Security Council resolutions.

Yes, the Saudis, plus the USA and its Jewish masters have all been defeated. Their humiliation is extreme. The al-Saud familiy was further humiliated when the peace talks were held at Doha Qatar, rather than in Arabia.

What can the USA do now? Designate all of Lebanon a “terrorist state”? That would mean the USA betrays its March 14 puppets. The entire Lebanese government would be driven into an open alliance with Iran and Syria.

Meanwhile, Christian Lebanese are the largest group of Arab citizens in the USA. Will the U.S. government designate all of them “terrorists”? Many top commanders in the U.S. military are of Lebanese descent (e.g. General Abizaid) plus several Congressmen (e.g. Daryl Issa of California). Will they all be designated “terrorists”? Will they have their accounts frozen? No, because the Lebanese Opposition has power now.

Once again we see that a “terrorist” is anyone who does not have power. When the poor struggle, it's called “terrorism.” When the rich oppress them, it's called a “police action.” The poor are always “militants.” The rich are always “democratic.”

How will the Opposition’s victory affect the Lebanese military? Most of the Army’s top commanders are Sunnis and Christians, but most of the rank-and-file soldiers are Shi’ite. Will the Shi’ites advance in the army now? If they become top commanders, then perhaps the entire Lebanese army will be able to resist israeli aggression.

The March 14 alliance made a severe error by letting so many Shi’ites enlist in the army. When Hezbollah or Amal took control of a section of Beirut, and then handed control to the Lebanese military, they handed control to soldiers that were fellow Shi’ites. This is one reason why everything went smoothly. Another reason was that labor unions joined the Opposition. The March 14 alliance was helpless.

I admire the Amal group’s performance. They are mostly Shi’ite, but they often disagree with Hezbollah. When one of their members is killed, the coffin is draped with a green flag (for Amal), not a yellow flag (Hezbollah) or a Lebanese flag (Christians and non-aligned Lebanese). Nonetheless, Amal and Hezbollah worked together during the recent situation. And since Amal has not been designated a “terrorist” group, the USA and its Jewish masters cannot say that “terrorists” gained power in Lebanon.

This is such a disaster for the Saudis, plus the USA and its Jewish masters, that the USA is forced to “welcome” the new Lebanese government. What else can the USA do? If the USA turns its back on all of Lebanon, including the March 14 puppets, then the American betrayal would unite the Arab world. Even the Saudis would pull away from the USA, knowing they could no longer trust the USA. Already the al-Saud family has lost all legitimacy in the Arab world.

There has been no discussion of this in the U.S. media, which is totally owned and controlled by zionist Jews. No discussion at all.

The only thing the USA can do now is offer massive bribes to Nabih Berri and other Amal members of the Lebanese government, in the hope of dividing Amal from Hezbollah. The USA cannot corrupt Amal and then leak stories about that corruption, since Amal’s power would then shift to Hezbollah. No, the USA can only hope to inspire greed among Amal. This would be a very dangerous game. If the USA slips, the USA will be humiliated again.

Also, the USA has lost its Druze puppets. Half of the Druze support the opposition, and the other half (under Walid Jumblatt) have been pushed aside. Perhaps this is why the israelis are now willing to discuss the Golan Heights with Syria. Half the people who live on the Golan Heights are Druze, and with the opposition’s victory in Lebanon, maybe the Druze are no longer willing to cooperate with israeli “settlers.”

Now that Saniora's power has been eclipsed, Saniora will be useful for the Opposition. He will be forced to cooperate. He will no longer be able to make secret agreements with the USA, with israel, or with the al-Saud family. He will be forced to start dispensing money for the rebuilding of Lebanon. He will be forced to negotiate with labor unions. Lebanese utility companies will be forced to stop using electrical blackouts to control Shi'ite areas.

Everything in Lebanon will change.
