Rice 'vetoes' israeli foreign policy
israelis are still hard at work trying to make it appear as though they take orders from the US, when EVERYONE KNOWS it's the other way around.
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice warned Israel against any attempts to talk to Syria during her recent visit.
It would be laughable and pathetic if the whole world weren't hanging in the balance. But, it is - so, it's not.
Israeli officials are split on whether Syrian President Bashar Assad is sincere about his offer of peace talks. But at least some in the government believe it would be worth preliminary discussions to test his sincerity, Haaretz reported.
However, Rice vetoed even an exploratory approach to Syria.
Oh, come on!
First, Knesset-Congress-Senate.
Now, Rice - that twit - can veto israeli foreign policy???
Apparently, israeli and American governments are completely interchangeable - at will.
The Bush administration apparently believes that even that gesture would be seen as a reward by Assad.
[And, of course,] Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert sides with Rice and his own hardliners, while Defense Minister Amir Peretz appears more willing to send out feelers, the newspaper said.
It wouldn't be interesting if we didn't have a good cop and a bad cop;
a hawk and a dove;
a wingnut and a leftie, right?
Wrong. Fool me once - can't get fooled again.
Just like your futile attempts to shake off the stigma of apartheid, it's no use trying to hide your death grip on US foreign policy.
The gig is up.
You've reached your zenith.
The only way forward is down.
