The Manufactured Oil Crisis
Is there really an oil shortage?
The obvious answer would seem to me "yes."
But things are rarely what they seem.
Lindsey Williams says it is.
He was crystal clear over a year ago that gasoline was headed straight to $4.00 a gallon and he says he knows why.
Williams became an oil industry insider by virtue of his success at mediating labor disputes in the Alaska oil fields.
Little did his colleagues know, he had no intention to become a "good old boy."

I remember long ago when they were building the Alaskan pipeline, the newspapers said that the pipeline would relieve our reliance on foreign oil. Many people went to work on the pipeline, and some, like JJ Evans' father James, perished. Despite the danger and hardship, the pipeline was finished. But where was the oil? Occaisionally the question was asked, but it was never answered to my satisfaction.
Lindsay Williams really has no reason to lie. He is selling a few books, but how much could he be making from that? He probably makes more as a minister. Another interesting fact is that he predicts gasoline would soon go up to $5 a gallon. Voila!
It makes sense that the oil companies would like to keep the oil in gull island until the price runs up to $200/barrel.
One solution is that Congress should declare a national emergency and investigate all the holdings of oil throughout the world. If oil is found in Gull Island, the government should assume control of that oil.
Also, and patents relating to alternative energy should be taken away if these patents are being used to keep new energy sources off the market. (Some that come to mind are those depicted in the movie "Who Killed the Electric Car?") The patents only exist "to promote science" and therefore Congress would be within its rights. It seems ludicrous to me that the people of this country would be willing to kill millions of people in wars over oil, but would not be willing to appropriate patents or oil interests that are owned by wealthy US corporations.
Also, individual states should create their own refineries. Although it would be wasteful to invest money in old technology, new refineries, especially in CA, would help to break the stranglehold on competition.

Coming soon.
We just have to wait.
Your inactions on MANY fronts CAUSE it to become these prices. Using FORCE of arms to STEAL oil is just going to inflate your cost much like the printing press debases your ever more worthless Greenback.
The waste of the internal combustion engine is so intimately connected to the American DNA that the obvious fires of loss of fuel will cause every free person many troubles, Troubles repayable in death and loss only.
How many are ready for the post gasoline world of doing without?
You cannot just assume control of this one.
Play nice or WHACK! is the good word.
Now time is short.
We see.
