ISRAEL NEGOTIATES NEW MILITARY AID DEAL !

An Israeli delegation has left for the United States to negotiate a new aid deal from the Jewish state's MAIN ALLY AND DONOR, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's spokeswoman said on Monday, cited by AFP.
"A delegation headed by BANK OF ISRAEL CHIEF Stanley Fischer left Tel Aviv overnight for Washington to negotiate a NEW DEAL to FIX THE AMOUNT of annual military aid from the United States for Israel for the NEXT DECADE," Miri Eisen told AFP.
Israeli officials are also hoping for EXTRA AID TO COMPENSATE FOR THE COST OF LAST SUMMER'S 34 DAY LEBANON WAR and the WITHDRAWAL [ as in 'U.S. TAXPAYER ACCOUNT' ] from the Gaza Strip in August-September 2005, she said.
Israel WITHDREW troops and settlers from Gaza after a 38-year occupation, but it continues to be an OCCUPYING POWER under international law as it controls borders and de facto daily life in the coastal strip. [ Sorry ! ]
The existing military aid accord between Israel and the United States took effect in 1998 and EXPIRES THIS YEAR.
"Military aid granted to Israel by the United States is currently 2.4 BILLION dollars per year, [ more than any country in the world ] and is devoted entirely to purchases of equipment and armaments and to research projects in the US," Eisen said.
The Israeli delegation also includes officials from the finance and foreign affairs ministries and the army, she said.
( I'm sure our boys in Iraq with rusted out equipment will be just as thrilled to hear this news as I am. )

Israel’s finance minister says Israel will demand a whopping increase in aid to offset inflation (i.e., to compensate for the continued weakening of the dollar). Nice.
Meanwhile the present U.S. aid package to Israel ends this year. It began in 1998.
The Haaretz newspaper says Israel gets $3 billion per year in cash, plus loan guarantees, plus weapons, and so forth. 60% of that cash goes to Israel’s military. Some of that cash is used to manufactures arms, which are then sold around the world at a handsome profit. Most of those arms are sold to China against U.S. wishes. Since the Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989, the U.S. has forbidden arms shipments to China from all nations--except Israel. Therefore China gets all its arms from Israel and from Russia, which does not recognize Zionist constraints.
In the present agreement, civilian aid to Israel has been reduced by $120 million each year, while military aid has been increased by $60 million each year.
Therefore Israel will demand a huge increase in military aid, plus an all new program of civilian aid.
Will Israel get it?
