Dear Leader

With every natural or man made disaster that strikes America, it becomes more and more apparent that we are truly a herd of sheep, willing and eager to be led to slaughter by our dear leader.

U.S. President George W. Bush climbed over mounds of roofing, broken glass and textbooks Saturday on the site of a tornado-battered high school where eight students died.

Journeying to the U.S. South "with a heavy heart," the president told the mayor and other local officials, "I will try to the best of my ability to help those who lost life and property."

Am I the only one who sees the absurdity of this picture?

An entire county devastated by natural disaster is entertaining ONE man, who can't even pronounce the word 'nuclear,' and waiting on him to 'make things better.'

What can this solitary man, stumbling over their destroyed belongings and fumbling for words to say, do to help them rebuild what's left of their lives?

Bush designated Coffee County, in Alabama's southeastern corner, as a disaster area, releasing millions of dollars in federal aid for recovery and individual assistance.

So, Bush - in his infinite wisdom and glory decreed the obvious - that it's a disaster - then proceeded to unleash the mystical power of the purse that magically enables the healing to begin.

But, why? What is so special about the money that George W. Bush has at his disposal?

Why is his special brand of money so essential for recovery?

Will the money itself be laid, one upon another, to rebuild houses?

Will it carry wood? Hammer nails? Or provide services?

Will it be consumed (i.e. destroyed) in the rebuilding process?

No. No. No. And No.

Then WHY must the people of Alabama wait for our dear leader to shower them with these magical green bills when they CAN PRINT THEIR OWN CURRENCY and rebuild without delay and without having to pay interest to bankers?

I have said it before, but it bears repeating.

There is nothing magical about money.

Money cannot walk and cannot talk.

It can't wash dishes or mow the lawn, plow a field, or bake bread.

Money does not 'work,' nor can it 'make' money.

Money is a standard of measurement - like a ruler - that facilitates exchange.

IT HAS NO VALUE in and of itself.

If it is used, as it SHOULD BE - HONESTLY - to MEASURE value, and not hoarded DISHONESTLY, as a COMMODITY, then there is no logical reason on the face of the earth that it should EVER be scarce.

But, it is - thanks to bankers.

And as a result, Americans have lost their hard-earned independence and it cannot be regained unless the money supply is restored to its rightful owners.

Americans should not have to wait for our dear leader to grant us - from his infinite generosity and the purse of his private bankers - that which is already OURS.
