LOS ANGELES (AP) — An unemployed man with an advanced finance degree who was despondent over his own financial problems shot and killed his wife, three children, mother-in-law and then himself in an upscale home in a gated community, police said Monday.

Officers found the bodies Monday morning after the wife failed to show up at a neighbor's home to go to work, Deputy Chief Michel Moore said. The deaths occurred sometime after Saturday evening.

A handgun that had been bought Sept. 16 was found in the father's grasp, Moore said. Karthik Rajaram, 45, left two suicide notes — one for police and one for friends and relatives — and a will.

The notes attest to Rajaram's financial difficulties, and he takes responsibility for killing his family members, Moore said.

Officers found the mother-in-law, Indra Ramasesham, 69, dead in bed on the first floor. Upstairs, they found a 19-year-old son, Krishna Rajaram, dead in bed in the master bedroom.

The gunman's 39-year-old wife, Subasri, was found in another room, also apparently shot while sleeping, Moore said.

In an adjoining room, a 12-year-old son, Ganesha, was dead on the floor, and his 7-year-old brother, Arjuna, was dead in bed. Coroner's assistant chief Ed Winter said the victims were shot multiple times.

Rajaram had a master's of business administration in finance, formerly worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Sony Pictures, but had been unemployed for several months, Moore said.

Moore did not specify what financial trouble the man had been in. He noted that the family did not own the home.

PricewaterhouseCoopers spokesman Steven Silber said Karthik Rajaram last worked for the company in 1999, but declined to offer any further information about him, given the time that passed since Rajaram's employement there.

Sony Pictures Entertainment spokesman Steve Elzer did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Investigators have determined that Rajaram was at least the part-owner of a financial holding company, Moore said.

He is listed as a co-manager of a corporation called SKGL LLC, which is incorporated in Nevada, according to state records. He formed the corporation for his family's assets, said Las Vegas attorney Christopher R. Grobl.

He did not know what sort of business SKGL was or why Rajaram incorporated in Nevada. The business was incorporated in 1999 and renewed its annual license in December 2007.

The gated community, called Sorrento Pointe, is among several developments along curving lanes and cul-de-sacs set on the foothills of the Santa Susana Mountains in Porter Ranch, about 23 miles northwest of downtown.

"It's very quiet here," said Ryan Ransdell, who lives across the street. "That's what's so shocking about this. ... You'd think someone would have heard it. You can hear a car door shut at night."

That the dude is being blamed is natural the REASON for the event and the possibility of a STAGE on the Report thing and i would be too interested in the WHO or WHY of the RESULTS for all to fathom in it's barbarity.

My theory: This fellow was a first generation immigrant form India and a member of one of the upper castes... He brought his family over here to better themselves and when financial problems, which may or may not have been his fault, hit, he saw his family sliding down in caste, perhaps even to the untouchable level. In his mind, it was better to die and take all of them with him than to bear that perceived shame.

It's the same reason that Indian farmers are committing suicide in record numbers due to the GMO seed scams and similar to the custom of wives being immolated with their dead husbands.

It's a caste pride thing.

It's a caste pride thing.

The whole notion of castes is offensive enough, but this is just sheer lunacy.

The two topics on the agenda of the August 2001 Durban NGO conference were: zionism is racism and caste system injustice.

911 happened less than a month later and the rest is history.

Baghdad - Eleven people from one family were killed by US fire in the Iraqi city of Mosul, an official security source said on Sunday. "US troops killed 11 people from one family while conducting a dawn raid on a house in the 17 Tammuz neighborhood, western Mosul," the source told Voices of Iraq (VOI) news agency.

So a place with plenty of family killing experience can not convince too many alert folks of much these days.

I say Bull shit this man did the things they say.

I suppose with a large bold line under THEY in the above line.

"Don't piss us off or we will Whack yer whole family" just looks like a thing a nutcase psychotic government cop type asshole would think up... Yep sure Thing!

Just wait You will see... Perhaps.

Serious compelling reasons to think the POWERS THAT BE are done for.... Kile This..

At least nine people are killed and several others injured in a suspected US missile strike on a Pakistani tribal region near Afghan border.

The attack targeted the house of a local tribal elder named Hafiz Sahar Gul in Tappi, a village in troubled North Waziristan region, Thursday night.

"The missile attack killed three of Gul's family members and six foreign guests," a security official in Islamabad told AFP.

There was no immediate confirmation from the Pakistani military or from the US-led coalition in Afghanistan.

The incident in the lawless district, is the latest in a string of attacks on Pakistani soil that have raised tensions between Islamabad and Washington.

The US has long carried out missile strikes against suspected al-Qaeda and Taliban hideouts in the northwest, but a recent surge in attacks has prompted official Pakistani condemnation which has been to no avail.

US Predator drones usually armed with Hellfire missiles and ground raids have killed dozens of Pakistani civilians in recent months.
