Israeli Jews find leeching off their American counterparts to be more difficult

by Maasanova

Questioning whether or not Jews loyalty lies within their home country has long been directly equated to antisemitism by the usual pro-Jewish mouthpieces, yet a new article from one of Israel's largest news outlets seem seem to be posing that very question.

Haaretz finds that organizations such as the New York Jewish Federation have begun to dip into reserves just to cope with the growing needs of their communities. This means less money to send to Israel for projects (ie: building Jews only settlements on private Palestinian land, funding military operations, ect). This is forcing American Jews to walk a tightrope during this very tense situation.

William Daroff, director of the Washington office of the United Jewish Communities, will continue to find ways to balance both obligations.

"What is certain is that we aren't going to draw up a list of priorities. We'll try to find a way to continue providing aid to needy Jews both here, in the Commonwealth of Independent States, and in Ethiopia."

But Rabbi Jerome Epstein, executive vice president of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, vows to continue to give until it hurt, no matter what the cost.

"There are people who haven't been hurt" by the crisis, Epstein explained. "The challenge is to reach them.... Those who haven't been hurt must understand that their responsibility is now greater."

However, Jennifer Laszlo Mizrahi, founder Israel Project seems to not be as sympathetic to American Jew's economic situation as she is with Iran's imaginary nuclear weapons program. Her statements appear to reveal her organization's true interest with its excessive concern over Iran.

"And what about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? Floating on a sea of petrodollars, he is smiling all the way to the bank," said Laszlo Mizrahi."

So once again we find another double standard within the Jewish community; another topic that is so taboo that we non-Jews are not only supposed to not discuss, but to pretend doesn't exist all together.

Not to worry about Zhid Central, they'll just get extra bucks from the US Congress.

You'll remember that right before the No Banker Left Behind Act passed, the 600 or so billion dollar defense bill was passed with nary a whimper.

There's probably all sorts of treats in there for Israel.

Yeah it was a pretty big military spending bill. Don't forget about all those loan guarantees too.

"Floating on a sea of petrodollars, he is smiling all the way to the bank. And the bank is run by us."
