Zionists fight over stolen loot
A lot of “holocaust reparations” stolen from Europe by Jewish attorneys ended up in the attorneys’ pockets.
Some of it, however, went to banks in Israel.
Jews are now squabbling over how much of the booty is in Ziostan.
A panel of experts charged with assessing Israeli bank accounts says there are NIS 400 million ($95 million) in Israel.
Colette Avital disagrees with that figure. A member of the Knesset, she says attorneys harvested over twice that amount from Europe. She says the panel uses tricks that allow Israeli banks to keep the money, rather than pay it out to anyone.
The panel was supposed to be independent, but one of its members, Prof. Yair Orgler, was appointed to the board of directors of Bank Hapoalim (Israel) while the panel was doing its holocaust assessment.
Mr. Orgler says his position with the bank is not a conflict of interest.
The Knesset Finance Committee's economic adviser, Smadar Elhanani, says there are at NIS 1 billion ($238 million) in the accounts, but the panel of experts will not budge from its lower assessment of only NIS 400 million.
Ms. Avital says Israeli banks are stealing from holocaust victims.
