llinois Rep EXPLODES: Exposes Sham Government

Comments

I saw that first video before. Regarding the second video, the situation is even worse than it describes.

With “hotlining,” a bank or corporation writes a bill that will make the bank or corporation richer at our expense. The bank or corporation then sends the bill to the Senate majority leader for quick passage. The Senate majority leader issues a message to all 100 Senators, late at night, or on holidays when the Senator is not in: “Please agree to this.” The Senate majority leader does this for 30 or 40 bills at a time. If there is no response from the Senator, then the vote on each bill is instantly counted as a “yes,” and it sails through the Senate by “unanimous consent.”

The bill has not been debated, or voted on. It has not even been seen by senators. Voila, the rich become richer, and the rest of us become poorer. And since every bill expands the power, tyranny, and cost of the federal government, this is one reason why the U.S. national debt now exceeds $13 trillion. Politicians and elitists create this debt through their fraud and their theft, and they make us pay for it via austerity (e.g. slashed social programs).

The only way a Senator can put a “hold” on a bill is by specifically calling the Senate majority leader and saying, “I do not agree to this.” The Senate majority leader then singles out that senator for punishment and political reprisals.

A bank or corporation can overcome a “hold” in the US Senate by filing for cloture, meaning it gets 60 senators (out of 100) to vote to “end debate.” Another way is for the Senate majority leader to call for a “live unanimous consent” on then Senate floor, late at night, when few Senators are present. The Senate majority leader says, “Are there any nays?” If he hears nothing, then the bill passes by “unanimous consent.” If a Senator wants to say, “Nay,” then he must be physically present on the senate floor. This is rare, since most senators are so lazy that they rarely bother to show up at all, except to grovel before some Israeli politician who is giving a speech.

One other way to overcome a “hold” is to attached the bill as an amendment to some other (unrelated) bill.

The video says 94% of bills are passed in the Senate by this “hotlining.” The video is referring to the 109th Congress (2005-2006), in which the Senate passed 341 bills and joint resolutions, of which 320 sailed through with no vote, and no debate.

I imagine it’s even worse now. The USA Patriot Act was passed this way in the Senate. It was several hundred pages long, and very few Congressmen ever read it.

Often a senator’s staff will agree to pass the bill (or will place a “hold” on it) without the senator even knowing about it. Hence, secret un-elected bureaucrats make many of the decisions in Congress.

That’s the way it works in Washington. Steal all you can, and dump the debt on the masses.

[Evidently “hotlining” only happens in the Senate, not the US House.]

Fortunately the masses accept this slavery, since most people would rather believe in fairy tales than face reality.

Seems it's Illinois State House.  Should have noticed the furniture.  Still would love to know who he is.  Nice to know that they've gamed the state systems like the national.

It's Mike Bost.  Here's a post speech interview.
