Nauseating!

If this woman really felt bad for pensioners, then she would resign to protest banker tyranny.

But she won’t resign, because like all politicians and bureaucrats, her own salary, pension, and benefits are totally secure.

I agree that this is nauseating. It is a modern-day display of the Roman panum et circenses designed to fool the average Italian into thinking that this woman gives a damn about the needs of the pensioners. Such a display of mock sincerity would be hard to better.
