Re: Ted Turner Says Military Suicides Are Good
I don’t share that view. I have a personal friend who was a US Marine in Iraq. He told me that only 20 percent of soldiers (at most) committed atrocities, or indulged their power, and they are the ones most likely to have emotional problems when they return. Everyone is subjected to the same training and same stresses. Some choose to exploit it for their own pleasure. Most do not. So, if the bad ones end up killing themselves, it’s a plus for society. I wish pilots and drone operators would do the same.
